Thanks for your interest in the Stories From The Land Podcast. We are sourcing community stories as a way to connect Indigenous worldviews, teachings & histories in order to help us better understand the world we live in today!
We are using community sourced stories as the backbone of this project and the vision is to share the common stories we share as they relate to land and place, but, we also aim to highlight the diversity of cultures, practice & teachings that come with the diverse landscapes we all enjoy in our home territories!
So. Let’s begin. Let’s tell your story.!
WE WANT YOUR STORIES!
YOUR VOICE, YOUR STORY
There is no pressure to be funny or over the top entertaining - just tell us a story!
A hunting story. A family story. Tell us something about the place you're from. Tell us a childhood story about being on the land, tell us about your current connection (disconnection) from your home territory, tell us about why you feel that the place you're from is special!
Talk for 5 minutes. Talk for 10 minutes. Just talk. And record it. Record it with an iPad, an iPhone, a tablet of some sort, OR, if you need to, we can Skype you into a conversation and we can record it that way.
WHAT WE NEED IN YOUR SUBMISSION!
We need you to record your story into an .mp3 file. Every smart phone device has a voice recorder built into it. If you'd like to get fancy you can use consumer or pro level recording equipment but it's not necessary!
We need your story. Tell us a 5-10 minute (or less, roughly) story about the land your from. Record this with your phone or recording device and email us the file!
Take a picture of where you're from. We want to see the beautiful land you're from. Every smart phone device is able to take very large, hi-resolution photos. Take a nice one and include it in your email submission!
Submit your materials & we will publish them!
